Root Canal Treatment Fremont
Erasing Painful Toothaches
Although root canals in Fremont have a poor reputation for causing pain, the opposite is actually true. Painful toothaches develop as a result of infections that have found their way deep within the inner chamber of the tooth, and there are only two ways to get rid of them: with root canal treatment or by extracting the tooth altogether. Our team wants to preserve your smile whenever possible, so a root canal will likely be one of the first options we present you with if we’re able to spot the infection early on. Give us a call today to stop severe tooth pain to schedule a same-day emergency appointment.

What Happens During a Root Canal?

The root canal process takes place over the course of two appointments. First, Dr. Gaddam will create a small window in the biting surface of your tooth. She’ll then clear out the infected pulp, which is a collection of soft tissues and nerves in the inner chamber, before sanitizing the area. Finally, she’ll put a putty material called gutta percha within the chamber to restore its structure and seal the area off. At your second appointment, Dr. Gaddam will place a permanent crown atop your treated tooth for an added layer of protection.
