Get to Know Dr. Veechika Gaddam

Nothing makes Dr. Gaddam happier than giving a patient a beautiful smile as well as a positive dental experience that helps them reach their oral health goals. She strives to connect with every patient, getting to know them beyond their teeth. Not only because she enjoys learning about people, but it also helps her personalize her approach so that their dental journey is consistently smooth, seamless, and comfortable.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

When Dr. Gaddam was 15 or 16, she visited her sister who happened to be in dental school, and she got a chance to see her treat and communicate with patients. Dr. Gaddam saw firsthand the tremendous gratitude that patients gave her sister after she treated them, talking about how she helped them gain confidence in their smiles and was able to get them out of pain. Dr. Gaddam thought to herself that she wanted to be that person who could bring happiness and confidence to one's life, and that’s when she knew she wanted to go into dental care.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Gaddam earned her first dental degree at Mamata Dental College in Khammam, India, and she went on to earn her DDS from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. Since then, she has completed multiple hands-on dental implant trainings through Hiossen Implant and Astra, and she also has certifications in Invisalign and laser dentistry.

Dr. Gaddam is an active member of the:

  • American Dental Association
  • California Dental Association
  • Academy of Laser Dentistry
  • American Academy of Clear Aligners
  • Advanced Dental Implant Research and Education Center

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Gaddam moved to the United States in 2009 and has called the Bay Area home since then. She and her husband are the proud parents of two charming, cheeky boys. When she isn’t spending quality time with them (they enjoy listening to stories about her work), she likes to relax by gardening, making terrariums, and watching movies. Right now, her big projects are learning carpentry and how to play the violin!
