Dental Implant Surgery

The next step is your dental implant surgery, which Dr. Gaddam can complete in-house. This means that you won’t need to worry about visiting a brand-new practice or team, allowing you to stay with The Dental People you trust throughout your entire journey. Dr. Gaddam will make an incision in your gum tissue so he can strategically place your implants in specific locations and angles. Then, the gums are closed and protective caps are placed over the end of the implants to keep them safe throughout the healing process.

Dental Implant Osseointegration & Abutment

After your implants have been placed, you’ll undergo a three to six-month healing and osseointegration process. During this time, your gums will heal around your dental implants while the posts fuse with your jawbone. At this point, you will need to undergo another small procedure in which the abutments are placed on the ends of the implants. This is what your restoration will be attached to. Impressions are also taken so your restoration can be customized at the dental lab to fit perfectly.
